RELEASE DAY: Collateral Damage by Jessica Wayne

My Dear Readers,

Today is a very special day because today, my friend and author of The Prophecy Series about Anastasia and Dakota and many other books is releasing yet another book. To be honest,  after reading A Tethered Duet, The Runner’s Daughter and now starting The Charitable Bastard, all by Ms. Jessica Wayne, I am in love with her writing. I love this woman for being able to write such diverse characters and creative story plots. I don’t know if you have had the chance to get to know her books and her as a person but I really think you should.

Ms. Wayne’s new release is TODAY. Collateral Damage is a novel that was written about one of her characters in A Tethered Duet, Timothy. For all of you who loved A Tethered Duet,  you will love this new exciting book. Trust me,  Jessica Wayne never disappoints her readers. I, myself can’t wait to get a hand on that new book.

Ms. Wayne has been a dear friend of mine since I met her on Facebook. She has taught me a lot of things and even though this lady writes her books faster which inspires me to write with such quality in a short time, I applaud her imagination and creativity. She has been a great support to me in my writing as well. I am proud of her for doing what she loves. I hope one day I would be able to meet her.

BUT… Until then, I present you with teasers for her new book….

Thank You Edward R. Murrow High School for the Wonderful Day

My Dear Readers!!!

I SOLD OUT OF BOOKS TODAY at Edward R. Murrow High School !!! Oh my goodness, every one wanted one. I left one in the Principal’s office for him. He was not there. I spoke to all my old teachers.

Sadly no pictures but that’s because of time. It was the end of the day.

But I SOLD OUT and signed copies!! I’m definitely going back there in September or October. It’s such a great experience. I might even have an official book signing there.

All of the teachers and workers there were extremely impressed with my book and that I actually did it. They all said they would read their copies over summer vacation.

You know, I always have a warm welcome there but for some reason, today was extra special.  It’s so great to know that the people there still love me and still care. I even answered a few questions that made me think. Elaine, the physical therapist always found ways to challenge me and make me think differently and I am extremely grateful to her for that.

Now, I really have a lot to think about in terms of my writing, my genre. Maybe, I might even try a new romance genre. I don’t know yet but I’ll think about it. I do need to finish this series first but I have time to gather my ideas.

I just want to say a big thank you to Elaine, Jennifer Gertz (occupational therapist), Sevita Berlin (paraprofessional), Lillain Baer-Sharoff, Allen Barge (Principal), and everyone else who bought my book today, gave me such a warm welcome and I do hope you enjoy my book. I do hope to come back in September or October to see all of you soon.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Getting Ready for my FIRST Book Signing

My Dear Readers,

I know, I know I am bad. I haven’t updated this blog in A VERY LONG TIME. I know that you are probably wondering, “What in the world is going on with Diana Rose? Is she okay?” The answer to that is, yes, I’m okay. But the first question has a much bigger answer.

So, you remember that I promised you “Swag” in my post, Lesson # 21: Creating “Swag” Or Things To Give Away ? And I have not come through on that yet. Well, after a lot of time, I finally did. We have FLYERS now!!! Small ones but still they are here. I finally figured out that website VistaPrint.

I ordered 50 flyers and they came yesterday (June 9th) and they are GORGEOUS!! 20180609_151857

Flyers for Book 1: Forbidden Love

I’m taking these and the books I still have in my house to my High School (Edward R. Murrow High School) this week on Tuesday, June 12th. I am so excited to go. I have been thinking about it for weeks now. I can’t imagine what it will be like to finally do a Book Signing. A book signing….me….I have been dreaming of doing a book signing since I started writing.

Can you believe that this will be my FIRST EVER book signing? All those teachers who knew me as the shy girl will probably be lining up to get my book. It’s amazing how far I have come through my journey with my book. I am so excited about it. If someone would have told me that I would be going to my High School as an author and signing books a few years back, I would probably look at them like they were crazy. But I am actually doing it and I feel proud that I actually can do it. That I achieved my dream!!

Trust me, this is not the end of my dream. I have so much more I want to do with my writing career. But for now, I want to get through Tuesday, June 12th because doing my first book signing is something that I never did before and I want to do it right. Besides, I have a lot of preparation to do like, getting my hair done and making sure I have enough books.

I will tell you all about it after I get back. Maybe even have pictures.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support

An Inspiring Story

My Dear Readers,

It’s been raining all day yesterday. But I don’t care. I had a very good day.

So, for those of you who read or at least started to read my book, Book 1: Forbidden Love(paperback edition click the link), you will know who I put in my Acknowledgment.

Yesterday, I spoke to the woman who suggested that I start writing when I was 13 years old (The same age as Princess Amy). Her name is Irina Danilchenko. You should probably thank her what came out of her suggestion.

I told her that my book was published two months ago on Amazon. You can’t imagine how much happiness there was, squealing, congratulations and she wanted a signed book. Of course, I told her that I would send her a signed copy. After which she said she would buy it for her daughter too.

We talked for almost two hours. I miss her. She lives in Athens, Georgia. I don’t get to see her because she’s a doctor. But we talk on the phone. I can’t believe it, this lady is so awesome and inspiring to me. She achieved her dream and I achieved mine.

As soon as I can, I’ll send her one of the paperback copies I have at home. I still have eight copies. I have to go out and sell. I’m so happy!!! I have been trying to call her and tell her and now that I did, I feel really happy. I remember 20 years ago when I was just starting to write I would always call her and bounce my ideas off her. She didn’t mind it. We talked about everything. She was my sounding board and still even now I love calling her to talk about my ideas though she is busier now but she always found time for me.

Now, she will buy my book. She promised a review and pictures so, I will share them with you. I am infinitely grateful for her because she believed in my dream as much as me.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Rainy Weather Is Good For Writing….

My Dear Readers,

Okay, so I wanted to go outside today. I needed the air. I put on a soft jacket. I came out, I was hot. I went back upstairs got my jean jacket. Came out it was cooler. And then it started to rain. Heavy rain. 🌩🌧🌧🌧🌧🌧🌩🌩🌩

Don’t worry, I got inside before it started to really rain. That’s N.Y. weather for you. One minute it’s sunny and the next it’s raining hard. Sometimes I hate it. Never go far if it’s going to rain.

Anyway, I’m going to do some more writing on Book 3. Hopefully, my head cleared enough to write some words down on Book 3. I’m writing Chapter 3, Augustine’s side of the story. I mean, he is the main character in this book too. For some reason his side of the story is a bit complex and I am not sure how to write it.

Augustine is also the main character in Book 2: Sacrificed Love as well as Book 3: Undying Love. I love the way he and Melody are together.  Sometimes I think Book 2 is better than Book 1: Forbidden Love (Kindle). But Book 1: Forbidden Love (paperback) was the first book I ever wrote so I do hope you read it.

Anyway, you will see.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

🌼🌼🌼🌼HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!🌼🌼🌼🌼

I want to say thank you to my mom for everything that she does. I know that she has done so much, making sure I get a good education, that I learn to live on my own though it’s scary sometimes, making sure I am healthy, happy. She has been there when I’m happy, when I’m sad, when I’m angry…always trying to help. We laugh, we cry together but most of all we talk about everything. We will celebrate soon.

I hope all mothers feel special today and everyday.
