Happy 4th of July!!

My Dear  Readers,

HAPPY 4TH Of July!!! 🎆🎇✨🎆

Today we all celebrate freedom in its own way. Every time I think of Independence Day, I think of how lucky I am to be here, to be done with school and college and to be doing what I love. I am grateful that I made this decision to be a full time Author and even more importantly a self-published Author. True, it doesn’t come easy but I am not dependent on anyone. I am completely independent and I publish my books when I’m ready.

In fact, isn’t that true independence, to be able to do what you want and not depend on anyone. So, thank you Karen D. Neal, Jessica Tahbonemah, For your help in my new career. Yes, career because I do plan to make this my career. Thank you Jessica Lauryn for my first wonderful 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 star review. To be compared with Romeo and Juliet is a great honor. Thank you so much to Kristi Cook for taking a chance on me and reading my book. I am grateful.

Independent, this word means so much to me in so many levels. Not only in my Author life but also in my every day life. Being independent is something I have learned comes slowly and stays forever.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support

Yours truly,

Monthly Update: Book 2: Sacrificed Love Progress

My Dear Readers,

I apologize for not writing. But I have been healing and trying but failing to stay offline. I love you all so much I can’t stay away.

I’ve been taking walks outside fairly often now. I did take a few pictures.

This is from my first few walks outside.  I used to love taking pictures of nature. Summer always reminds me how beautiful nature is.

This was yesterday. I took a long walk and even made a new friend….here’s a few pictures of her….

Isn’t she gorgeous? This kitty wanted to talk so I stopped and I couldn’t resist.  I took a few pictures of her. I think she was lonely.

And now…..the most important news:

Book 2: Sacrificed Love is coming soon….I will be starting edits for Chapter Two soon. My editor just sent them to me yesterday.  So, I have no time to sit around and be bored.  Plus, my cover designer and I will start something new for you next week. No, don’t ask me, it is a surprise! I know you love surprises. Don’t worry, it’s a wonderful surprise.

Speaking of surprises…Guess who bought my book?

Kristi Cook , Author of The Winterhaven Series bought Book 1: Forbidden Love. To say that I was happy is to say nothing because I was in tears when she told me. My goodness,  this was my dream come true!! I still can’t believe that a famous Author bought MY BOOK! I must still be dreaming.  I’m ecstatic, I feel like I am flying. I really do hope she likes it. I keep thinking about it. I must have made a very good impression on her if she decided to read my book. MY BOOK. I keep hoping that someone will buy it and now I am flying because a Famous Author is reading my book. THIS was the best surprise of my life.

Anyway,  I’ll be back with more news soon. Don’t forget to click the link to go straight to Amazon and buy Book 1: Forbidden Love. For now,  that’s all.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.  I thank you all for your infinite support.

My First Podcast Interview with Kristine Raymond

My Dear Readers,

Wow! It has been a few weeks since I have written anything here. No, that is not true, I did two posts for Jessica Wayne at the end of May. But that was all.

Now, however, I have big news! BIG NEWS!!! I can’t tell you how excited I feel about this. This is such an amazing opportunity for me. Kristine Raymond,  author of The Hidden Springs Series and The Celebration Series has a podcast that I have been listening to recently. It’s amazing how many authors write so many different things. When she invited me to be a guest, I was honored. Can you imagine  little me, one book published, me on a podcast? I sure could not. But I took the idea, even though I knew that she  so mean well known authors on that podcast….where was I going to fit in.  (Okay… I’m a little self conscious.) But, I was excited.

The interview with Kristine Raymond was scheduled for May 16th so I still had some time. Of course,  I had no idea what I was going to talk about. But I thought, It’s going to come to me when I am doing the interview, right?

So, finally, May 16th comes and it turns out to be the day before my cover reveal for Book 2: Sacrificed Love. Which if I can say is amazing timing. I call Kristine Raymond…she’s extremely sweet and incredibly amazing to calm me down. I have only the BEST memory of this. I am glad I got to take the chance to tell my readers (you) more about my book and The Power of Love Series. This Series is such a big part of my heart that talking about it is so special to me.

After I had done the interview in May,  I could not wait to share it with you. Now, I can. It’s a fantastic look into my own little world and the world of my books.

Word Play with Kristine Raymond- Guest Diana Rose

I do hope that I will get to do this again and in the meantime, I’ll be writing Book 3 and trying to finish it. Keyword, trying because I am not sure if I’ll be able to finish it this year as it is such a long and twisty journey, for me and Augustine and Melody. I might be writing it into next year so, I’ll let you know.  I do have other ideas floating in my head which I will reveal later.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.  I thank you all for your infinite support.

Yours truly,

👸🌺Happy International Women’s Day!!🌺👸

My Dear Readers,

To all the women out there, I am glad we are who we are, strong, powerful, creative, motivated, inspiring, successful people who strive for a better future for our families and ourselves. There’s no braver person than a woman who wants something. There’s no stronger person than a woman who is trying to raise a family and build a career. Everything that we do as women should be an example of the strength we have inside.

Let’s look at each and every one of us as unique individuals who create our own way in life and give hope to others that things that seem impossible are possible.

So, I hope that with time women will have more respect for the things that they do.

👸👸👸We are Queens of our destinies and we make things happen. 👸👸👸👸

👸👸🌺🌺HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY!!!🌺🌺👸👸👸👸

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Getting Ready for My First Book Signing at Kingsborough Community College

My Dear Readers,

So as luck would have it, I have been invited to do two book signings in 2019. I’m so EXCITED ABOUT IT! Can you tell how excited I am? I hope so because I am over the moon excited. No, I’m not exaggerating. I really can’t wait. In  case you haven’t read my 2019 plans, you can read them here: Release Plans for 2019-2020 (Can change).

Now, I will have some fun things to do like ordering more books, more flyers, bookmarks, and pens and possibly other things to decorate the table.

I even made an event for it on my Author Page. Kingsborough career day event.  If you are in Brooklyn, NY on April 4th, please come by, we would love to have you there. It’s going to be a great event. I am so excited about interacting with my new readers. My readers are why I’m doing this. I will definitely write about it in a blog post after.

Now, I have things to do. I have a speech to memorize. This will be the first time I ever make a speech. AHHHHH! I have not made a speech in a long time and I have stage fright so I might just have an interesting experience to write about later. But, you know what? I am going to remember this first book signing no matter what because I always wanted to go sign my book to my Readers. No matter if I mess up or not, I know that I will do great!

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Yours truly,

Excerpt #2 from Book 1: Forbidden Love

My Dear Readers,

Today is Saturday and I promised you an excerpt from Book 1: Forbidden Love.  I hope you enjoy it.

Excerpt from Book 1: Forbidden Love by Diana Rose

Copyright 2018 by Diana Rose

As he helped Amy fold her clothes into her chest, Darien sat up straight on her bed, remembering that he had brought her a gift. He put his hand into his suit jacket. “I want to give you something special,” he said as he took out a small, but beautiful box.

“Oh, Darien, you shouldn’t have. All I want is you,” Amy exclaimed, as she carefully took the box so as to not drop it.

“Please accept this gift. Open it when you arrive at your new home.”

“Of course. I promise you.” Amy leaned against Darien and smiled at him. She felt, somewhere deep in her heart, that this was not the last time she would see Darien.

Her bags were packed and ready to go. Darien had said his farewell and left without a sound through her window. In case her parents were home, Darien did not want to get yelled at for coming to see Amy. The window was his only way out. When he left and Amy was sure no one had seen him, she took the box that contained Darien’s gift and placed it inside her handbag along with her hair accessories.

A few hours later, Amy stood by her carriage and said goodbye to her family. She was leaving to an unknown world. She did not know what to expect from the other castle that was so far from her family–and especially Darien. We could’ve been so happy together. I miss him already. Oh how he used to hold me! And those eyes, I’ll never forget those eyes. How could my mother do this to me? Does she not have a heart? What is Darien is my soulmate? Would she be able to live with herself knowing that she is tried separating two people that are meant to be together? Amy’s thoughts jumbled around in her head, making her unable to focus on anything else. All she wanted was to turn back and see Darien again. As she sat in the carriage, Amy sadly realized that with every hoof beat she was being driven farther away from her true love.
