My Interview on Passion Between the Pages with Jessica Lauryn

My Dear Future Readers

On Friday, June 30th, I was interviewed by Jessica Lauryn. I had interviewed her some time ago when she first published A Passionate Play. You can reread her interview here: Interview with Jessica Lauryn about A Passionate Play. I was happy to bring Jessica Lauryn on my blog and until now I did not have a chance to come to her blog until Friday.  You can read my interview on Passion Between the Pages here: Passion Between the Pages.

My Experience as in Interviewee:

When I was asked if I wanted to be interviewed. I instantly agreed. Why? Because, one: I know Jessica Lauryn for a very long time and we are good friends. Second, I loved the questions that Jessica Lauryn asked. I was excited to share with Ms. Lauryn things about my book. I wanted to make sure that people know where the idea for Book 1: Forbidden Love and the Power of Love series came from because for a long time I have not said anything about this to anyone.

Why?

Because I thought it was too soon to start talking about the ideas and inspiration for this series. But, now as I edit the book, I began to open up to the public about my inspiration for the Power of Love series. I believe that it is important for people to know that ideas for books don’t just come out of thin air. Different authors find inspiration for their books in different places.

I find my inspiration from my family’s history and the stories that my grandparents told me. I think it is important to respect the stories and love of those people who cared enough to tell you their story.

I think that my experience as an interviewee was a wonderful thing because I felt like my ideas and my words were not taken lightly and received the respect they deserved. Also, I feel like I gained more future readers after the interview than before it. That makes me happy. I wanted to reach more people and I think I did that and for that I am grateful to Jessica Lauryn. I hope to have Jessica Lauryn interview me again one day soon or I will interview her. It’s always good to have authors as friends.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Forbidden Fruit of the Heart

My Dear Future Readers,

Have you noticed all the stories about true love that the parents don’t approve of for one reason or another?

Well, I have a story for you that is quite personal and dear to my heart. I have been carrying this story with me for a long time. I believe that since my blog is about true love, this story would be very fitting. My grandmother told me this story many times. My grandparents are both gone now and this story is near and dear to my heart because it is the reason why I write romance. I loved this story and now I think it is time that I share this story with you, my dear future readers.

This story is about my great-grandparents who have since long gone and are remembered fondly. The story of their love is one that made me think about fate and I still do.

Before my great-grandparents got married their families did not think it was a good idea to wed a poor boy with a fairly rich (for those times) girl.  In an effort to separate them, my great-grandfather’s family arranged his marriage with another girl of a more fitting social class.

However, fate was not happy.

The first woman my great-grandfather was to marry had burned in a fire and died right before the wedding.

My great-grandfather’s parents were horrified by the news. But soon, they introduced their son to another young woman. They seemed to like each other although not as much as he loved my great-grandmother. And so, it was decided that he would marry her.

Three days before the wedding, there was a flood in the town and the woman he was betrothed to drowned in the flood. Again they were all deeply disturbed. by the news of the flood.

And so, for the third try, my great-grandfather was introduced to  yet another woman who I believe as the story goes died in a car accident. (Or so I think.)

After the third woman died, my great-grandfather’s parents finally understand that it was fate that had done all this. They sat with their son and said, “We do not want any more deaths on our heads. If you want to marry the woman you love, then do it. We believe that you two were meant to be.”

My great-grandparents got married and had four children, one of which was my grandmother. She was the oldest of the four. They lived a very long life. My great-grandmother never went to the doctor or hospital and the one time that she did, they did not have any medical records of her. Since my great-grandmother had been blind late in life, my great-grandfather would cut her food for her so she did not need to use a knife. He took good care of her and they lived to a very old age.

My grandmother said that her mother had long hair and she would let my grandmother braid her hair.

I believe that fate and destiny do exist and that if my great grandparents were destined to be married, then fate has always been out for lovers. When my grandmother used to tell me this story, I was always fascinated by how romantic it was. I began to fall min love with the idea of true love at the age of fifteen and sixteen. I thought I would find the same kind of true love that my great grandparents and grandparents had.

Instead, I am writing romance novels and falling in love with my characters. But, I suppose it is a start. After all, you have to start somewhere. You know, as I am writing this post, I can feel like my grandparents are watching me and I know they approve. After all, this story has been in our family for many years and it is good for the world to know that such people did exist and their love was real.

I believe that their story along with my grandparents has fueled me into writing and I appreciate them. I feel like I get to express everything that has happened in my family and the love that my grandparents have shown me through my books which in itself is wonderful.

Yes, my great-grandparents’ story was sad but it had a very happy ending. Which is why I wanted to share this with you today. True love is a beautiful thing.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Thankfulness of an Author

thanksgivings-day

My Dear Future Readers:

I want to wish every one of you a very Happy Thanksgivings Day.. It is the day that we give thanks for everything we have. But should we not be thankful for the people and things we have, every day of our life? I believe that Thanksgiving is not for one day of the year. It is a holiday that can be celebrated everyday.

Everyday, there is a reason to be thankful. Everyday, the sun shines in our windows and the birds chirp their beautiful songs. In life there are moments when we should look for ways to be thankful no matter how bad our day is going. But today, I want to say that there are things that we should all be thankful for and always remember.

The Everyday List of Thanks:

thanks23

  • We must always be thankful for the sky that is blue and the air that we breathe.
  • We must be thankful for the plants and flowers and the nature all around us.
  • We have to be thankful for the families we have and the friendships we acquired.
  • We must be thankful for our parents and grandparents because they made us who we are today.
  • We have be thankful that we have places that we can come home to every night. That we have beds and things that we use everyday that we need.
  • We have to be thankful for the things that we can do like, reading and writing and having the ability to use technology and think.
  • We must be thankful for the different people we we meet because whether they are bad or good we all learn life lessons that we can’t live without./

There are many more things that we as people should be thankful for. But now, I want to talk about my own list of things that I am thankful for.

My List of Thanks

Every day, I am thankful. I know that today is the day for that and I want to express my thanks.

I want to thank YOU for being a faithful  future reader. After all, without all of you who are reading my blog and liking my Author Page (Diana Rose Author Page )  none of this could be possible. You make things happen.

I want to thank my mother who taught me most of the things I do today. But most of all how make decisions and stay by them. She taught me that I should always keep going no matter how hard life gets. “There’s always tomorrow.” It means that I can always try again and that I should never lose hope. There are so many other things that my mother taught me but it is going to take a long time to list them all. I just want to say that she always makes life seem brighter no matter and no matter what happens, I can always count on her to be there for me no matter what life throws at me. I am  extremely grateful to have a mother who can know even without words what I need and how I feel.

I am thankful for the friends that I have even there aren’t many that I see everyday, the ones who are in other states, I am grateful for the care and love I feel from you that helps me get through my day. I am grateful for the comments that I get from my friends on Facebook and that I don’t feel so alone when I have someone to talk to.

I am grateful for the opportunity and ability to be a full-time author and having a chance to make my writing better everyday. I’m grateful for the support I have.

I am thankful for all the things that were named in the above list. Also, I am grateful for the talent I have and the creativity I have to write my books.

I wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.
