Soulmates Are Forever

My Dear Future Reader,

Today, I want to talk to you about soulmates.  Somewhere in this world there are people who are destined to be together. Sometimes, you can live your life and never meet your soulmate. But, some people who are lucky, get to meet the one who they will spend the rest of their lives with.  It’s the one person who you feel extremely close with and who you trust 100%.

Soulmates are extremely rare in today’s world, rare to find and that is why I decided to write this blog post. No, I did not find my soulmate as of yet (stop looking at me like I’m crazy to be writing about things I have not found yet). But, I do plan to find my soulmate. It is not as easy as putting in a search engine like Google looking for a soulmate and millions of options show up. Many people look for years before they find one who they were meant to be with.

But you know me, I always have hope for a better day. It is not easy at times but I figure that it is better to smile than it is to cry. Besides crying is bad for the health of the person. That is why I choose not to cry.  My soulmate is somewhere out there and I believe that he is looking for me. In today’s world, it’s important to not give up on hope.

That is why I write about true love. For true love is unimportant who you are as long the person truly loves you. Even if he isn’t a prince with a crown, he could still love you. Happiness can come from anywhere and you just have to recognize it. The right people for you may not be right for anyone else and that is why they are called soulmates. Every soul has their own mate and who they want to live their life with.  I am a firm believer of a true match made when people first meet.

Of course, if that person is not  the soulmate of your life, there will be signs that can’t be ignored. You need to be open to seeing these signs before things get too out of control. But, on the eother hand, sometimes people are too blinded by their feelings to see the obvious signs that the person is not their soulmate at all. The hardest aspect is of course finding your soulmate because it is like “looking for a needle in a haystack.” But that does not mean that it is impossible.

My suggestion is to allow yourself to have an open mind the next time you think that you found your true true love because the signs are always going to point you in the right direction.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Yours truly,

A Review Of An Amorous Dance By Diana Rose

My Dear Future Readers,

I finished reading An Amorous Dance by Jessica Lauryn today. I am tearing up at the end of this book. Jessica Lauryn is a wonderful author and I am looking forward to her next book.

To be honest, I was entranced by her characters and the action in this book. It truly takes the OSCAR for unique storytelling. The complex relationship between Evan Masters and Hannah Rabourn is quite interesting to watch. Neither want to return to the love they once shared and yet it seems that the gravity pulling these two lovers together is indeed stronger than them. Hannah, tries to withstand temptation but in fact finds herself deeper in love with Evan Masters.

I believe that this book deserves to be a bestseller for the vivid images and complex situations it shows. The reader is pulled instantly into the story and from page 1, it is hard to let go. I found the unveiled secrets of the Theater and Augustus Nathanson to be quite a beautiful addition to the action and intrigue which I had gotten a taste of in A Passionate Play. I believe that An Amorous Dance is even more intriguing and lustful, dare I say it, than I thought it would be.

Every character in this book had a surprising back story which I was a happy witness of. Of course, Jessica Lauryn write very interesting and suspenseful stories for each character in this book and I believe that the romance was very on time in this book. In fact, I would say that at times I felt entranced by the words that Ms. Lauryn writes. I felt like I was being pulled into the story and I was living the scene through the character. That is the kind of book I love most. I love Jessica Lauryn as the wonderful author she is and I can’t wait for Rabourn Theater Book 3 to be out so that I can read it.

Also, I want to say that in reading this wonderfully written book, I learned a lot about the characters and how to create an intriguing back-stories and characters that are relatable to real life. It is called being a wonderful author when the reader can get emotional over what you have written. I feel like Hannah and Evan have become my “friends” as I read their story. It is not often that I feel that with books But with Jessica Lauryn’s books, I truly feel like her characters have become my “friends.”
I will be doing an interview with Ms. Jessica Lauryn in the coming days and I really am intrigued to learn more about how this book developed so perhaps this will be a two-part interview because of all the questions I have in my head.
DON’T MISS IT!!
I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Author Interview with Annie Louise Twitchell About Spinner of Secrets

AnnieMy Dear Future Readers ,

Today, I have a very special treat for you. I’m doing an interview with Annie Louise Twitchell. Ms. Twitchell is a self published author, who also wrote The Christmas Ladder: A Read Along Story as well as Spinner of Secrets which will be released on May 14, 2017.

I posted a review of Spinner of Secrets on Goodreads, please read my review. Spinner of Secrets Review by Diana Rose

Annie Louise Twitchell is a home-schooled graduate who is obsessed with dragons and fairy tales. She enjoys reading, writing, poetry, and many forms of art. When she’s not writing, she can often be found reading out loud to her cat, rabbit, and houseplants, or wandering barefoot in the area around her Western Maine home.

About Spinner of Secrets:

Where will the journey for love take you? Will it be worth the fight?

Letta is a peasant girl, whose father was outlawed and killed when she was small. Though her name means truthful one, she finds herself submitting to her stepfather’s will, and complying with his lies and trickery.

Prince Kyle is her reluctant husband. His mind is focused on one thing: avenging the murder of his childhood sweetheart.

They must learn to trust each other when a strange little man forces them to fight for what is important to them, in a desperate race to save their child’s life.

In this retelling of Rumpelstiltskin, Annie Louise Twitchell weaves an enchanting tale of love, longing, and thread.

Quote

****

  1. What inspired you to write Spinner of Secrets?

It was a writing prompt on a forum I was extensively involved with, two years ago. The prompt was to write a short story, and there must be three elements included there somewhere: a rose, an outlaw, and a castle. My first impulse was to do Beauty and The Beast, but I decided to see if I could do something a little differently. I settled on Rumpelstiltskin, and the story just grew from there.

  1. The feelings in the book are quite “hard” I mean the way the way that Prince Kyle treats Letta. Was it difficult to write Prince Kyle’s character?

Not hard to write; though I wanted to slap him almost every time I went over it in revising and editing. I didn’t have a hard time writing him, he sort of wrote himself. I wasn’t happy about it, and I cried over it several times, but there it is. Life isn’t pretty, and not every fairy tale ending has sweetness or sugar. Sometimes it’s just raw edges, grating on each other. This story has, to my mind, a lot of the sharp edges that the original Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson have. Have you ever read the original of the beloved Cinderella? It is not actually a pleasant story.

  1. Do you believe that Prince Kyle changed his option of Letta because he truly loved her or is it because he felt guilty for not accepting her?

I think there’s a bit of both. He realized he was being terribly harsh and unfair towards her, and later he did learn to love her. She was never going to be Melissa, and once he accepted that, he was able to see her for who she was and accept her for that.

  1. What kind of books do you like to read?

Short answer? All of them. I have a fondness for classics and old literature in particular. I like how the words sound.

  1. Is there a fairy tale that you like more than any others? Why?

That’s a difficult question to answer, since I have a hard time picking favorites. But I think it would be Beauty and The Beast. I want to write a retelling of that one at some point. The trick is finding one that’s different, because there’s so many Beauty and The Beast stories out there, and a lot of good ones.

6. Do you believe that true love exists even in our world?

I think my answer would have to be Jane’s.  “Falling in love at first sight, maybe that’s a story. But mightn’t people learn to love each other? Might they make love, themselves, with work and effort?”

  1. Would you say that life built on lies can be fixed once the truth is revealed like in your book?

It depends on if the parties involved are willing to ask forgiveness and be forgiving, and if they are willing to work for healing and moving forward and truth.

  1. What scene is your favorite to write? Why?

I really enjoyed writing the Epilogue. I liked how it wrapped everything up, and the whole feel of it. I also liked Chapter Ten, even though it made me cry – a lot.

  1. What scene is your least favorite to write? Why?

Chapters Nine and Ten were very hard for me to write. I cried a lot, but I still liked them, for all that. It’s so hard to pick favorites and least favorites!

  1. “Spinner of Secrets” is a very unique title, how did you come up with your title for this book?

It just sort of… came to me. Not while I was dreaming, although I have had that happen before, but I was just working on writing and it showed up in my head. I loved it and there was never any question about it.

  1. The ending of the book was quite unexpected. What inspired such a creative way to end the book?

The ending is actually quite similar to the ending of the original fairy tale, although I lengthened the time between certain events a little and added a few elements of my own, to wrap up my story thread. I just worked with what I had.

  1. Do you believe in true love and that true love conquers all?

I think that love is the building block on which everything is made; romantic love can be fragile if there isn’t other things holding the connection together, but love as love, pure and simple – I think that’s what makes the world spin.

  1. Do believe that people a generally scared to admit they love each other in real life? you Why?

It’s so hard to say what other people think, and I’ve never really been “in love” myself, so I’m not sure how to answer this question. I know that there is what seems a universal fear of being rejected, which could make it very hard for someone to offer their love to someone else.

  1. What made it easy or hard to write this book? Why was it hard? Why was it easy?

It was easy because I loved the story so much. I have almost fifteen years of history with fairy tales, and not Disney or modern fairy tales, either. I read the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson long before I watched any of the Disney stories. They’re full of sharp edges and broken people and finding peace in spite of the shattered pieces, or sometimes, because of them. That gave me a very good feel for the type of story I wanted to tell. It’s not a pretty world that we live in. To quote Jeremiah, “Little comfort, I know. But sometimes we must take the little offered us and make it enough.” There is so much good here, and so much hope, and love. There is so much to live for, and I think once we accept that sometimes living is hard, and that loving is hard, and that people, including ourselves, are broken and worn down from life, I think we can see the beauty clearer.

You’ve heard people talk about guardian angels; I give mine a workout, I’m afraid. But I also like to think I have a writing angel who sits there and whispers ideas in my head, who pokes me to hurry up and stop being scared of putting the words down, and just write. It wasn’t an especially hard story to write, but it was hard to get my head to stop screaming in terror about putting it out there and letting people read it. Conquering anxiety has been one of my biggest struggles in writing this, which is probably why it took almost two years. But conquer it I did, at least, for now.

To be honest, this is a very interesting interview. Annie Louise Twitchell has a very interesting book and I’m glad that I could get her insight on how the book came to be. There is so much that I can relate to in her interview. I, myself love fairy tales and I read every kind. It is truly inspiring to me when an author can take something old and well-known and turn it into art. That is true talent in my eyes.

I believe that Ms. Twitchell has a good start. I think that if anyone likes old fairy tales, they will love this new book that is coming out on May 14, 2017. I really enjoyed interviewing this new author and I hope that I will get to see her on my blog again soon.

I hope you enjoyed the interview.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank  you all for your infinite support.

Love Is Like A Dance…..Missteps Happen

My Dear Future Readers,

I want to talk about something different today….. Mistakes. After all we are all human and we make mistakes. Even more often when it concerns the matters of the heart. But the real mistake is refusing to listen and notice the other person and their body language. If you love someone deeply, you should be attuned to his or her body language. In fact, the way the body speaks is a dance in itself.

It is frustrating to explain everything in great detail to the person who should be able to see when you are angry or sad or disgusted. It is not hard to see what the person is feeling on his or her face. You just have to care enough to see it. I believe that genuine people can notice every emotion and not make you even angrier. Noticing and acknowledging emotions is a big part of loving the person and building a solid relationship.

Making such a mistake repeatedly will never make your relationship better. People are different and they express their emotions in different ways. I’m lucky enough that I can put my frustrations on paper. In doing so, I can relieve my stress onto the page. Other people cope in other ways. But all people feel disrespected if their emotions are triggered by another person not listening to them or picking up on their body language.

I believe that love and respect go together no matter what kind of relationship you have with the person be it romantic involvement or not. A person is a person no matter what. I know that it is a subject that everyone can relate to because we all have that one person who we constantly have to explain even the most minimal things to. Yes, I do too. And I believe every person deserves to be treated well.

Even the body language is a form of respect Mistakes happen but people have to learn from those mistakes and if they don’t you should not suffer for it.

If you feel emotions through your very soul like me, you might be an empath and if that person just acts like you are not sitting there with a scroll on your face and giving them the silent treatment then they don’t understand who you are. That means you should just avoid them and if you can’t just ignore them until they go away. Because you can’t explain every little thing to them and the chances that they will understand are very small. They just don’t understand that everything you feel is multiplied by ten times.

Why?

Because, if it is a strong feeling you will keep thinking about it for days. I know it sounds strange but it is true. I know I should give up on being angry right now but I just can’t. It just doesn’t feel right. Every person has their own psychology and I have mine and I know that people will understand who have been disrespected with their emotions. People who care do not do such things. If a person cares about you they try to help you to not bring stress into your life. Especially, if they love you. Life with the one whom you love should NOT be filled with stress.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Forbidden Fruit of the Heart

My Dear Future Readers,

Have you noticed all the stories about true love that the parents don’t approve of for one reason or another?

Well, I have a story for you that is quite personal and dear to my heart. I have been carrying this story with me for a long time. I believe that since my blog is about true love, this story would be very fitting. My grandmother told me this story many times. My grandparents are both gone now and this story is near and dear to my heart because it is the reason why I write romance. I loved this story and now I think it is time that I share this story with you, my dear future readers.

This story is about my great-grandparents who have since long gone and are remembered fondly. The story of their love is one that made me think about fate and I still do.

Before my great-grandparents got married their families did not think it was a good idea to wed a poor boy with a fairly rich (for those times) girl.  In an effort to separate them, my great-grandfather’s family arranged his marriage with another girl of a more fitting social class.

However, fate was not happy.

The first woman my great-grandfather was to marry had burned in a fire and died right before the wedding.

My great-grandfather’s parents were horrified by the news. But soon, they introduced their son to another young woman. They seemed to like each other although not as much as he loved my great-grandmother. And so, it was decided that he would marry her.

Three days before the wedding, there was a flood in the town and the woman he was betrothed to drowned in the flood. Again they were all deeply disturbed. by the news of the flood.

And so, for the third try, my great-grandfather was introduced to  yet another woman who I believe as the story goes died in a car accident. (Or so I think.)

After the third woman died, my great-grandfather’s parents finally understand that it was fate that had done all this. They sat with their son and said, “We do not want any more deaths on our heads. If you want to marry the woman you love, then do it. We believe that you two were meant to be.”

My great-grandparents got married and had four children, one of which was my grandmother. She was the oldest of the four. They lived a very long life. My great-grandmother never went to the doctor or hospital and the one time that she did, they did not have any medical records of her. Since my great-grandmother had been blind late in life, my great-grandfather would cut her food for her so she did not need to use a knife. He took good care of her and they lived to a very old age.

My grandmother said that her mother had long hair and she would let my grandmother braid her hair.

I believe that fate and destiny do exist and that if my great grandparents were destined to be married, then fate has always been out for lovers. When my grandmother used to tell me this story, I was always fascinated by how romantic it was. I began to fall min love with the idea of true love at the age of fifteen and sixteen. I thought I would find the same kind of true love that my great grandparents and grandparents had.

Instead, I am writing romance novels and falling in love with my characters. But, I suppose it is a start. After all, you have to start somewhere. You know, as I am writing this post, I can feel like my grandparents are watching me and I know they approve. After all, this story has been in our family for many years and it is good for the world to know that such people did exist and their love was real.

I believe that their story along with my grandparents has fueled me into writing and I appreciate them. I feel like I get to express everything that has happened in my family and the love that my grandparents have shown me through my books which in itself is wonderful.

Yes, my great-grandparents’ story was sad but it had a very happy ending. Which is why I wanted to share this with you today. True love is a beautiful thing.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Is There A Happily Ever After in Love?

My Dear Future Readers,

In every romance novel, fairy-tale, and romantic movie there is a happily ever after. The evil doers get what they deserve, and the happy couple lives on to get married and be happy. In romance a happily ever after is a guarantee.  True love always  ends with a kiss and a wedding. That is why I love reading romance novels and watch romantic movies. But most of all, I love writing romance.

It is exciting to watch my characters fall in love and do all things that I dream of doing in real life. As everyone knows so well, all romance books have an antagonist–the bad guy who tries to ruin everything– which is also important for the story. Despite what happens to the characters, the heroes always come out on top. But, is that always the case in real life? Do the heroes come out on top? Or are they pushed down by problems so much that a happily ever after becomes blurry?

I would very much like to think that women can control and fight their own dragons and evil doer but men are there to not let them. Of course, if that man is truly a Prince Charming. Love is a something that is unpredictable but yet it is the thing that we crave and we wait for, for most of our lives.

WHY?

Because, every woman wants a man like those she reads about in fairy tales. A brave hero who will come to her on a white horse and carry her off into the sunset. Every girl dreams of a happily ever after because real life is much harder than it is in fairy tales. It is the only way that woman knows she will get married to the right man by imagining the princes from the fairy tales carrying her off. I think that true love does exist but it is hidden from us. True love goes deeper than love can ever go. True love is a feeling that connects you to the person so deeply that your wish is to make them happy. True love means that you can only be with that one person and no one else would do.

I believe that all the Disney fairy tales explored true love because it is a very rare feeling. Not everyone in the world is lucky enough to find that one special person even though, we all try. That is also the reason why we are in love with romance-the kind of romance that Disney allows us to see, because Disney is a promise in itself of true love and a happily ever after.

Yes, there is a happily ever after if and when we choose to fight for it. Magic happens only when we (women) become the rulers of our own lives and bring the Prince to us. I have no say in the matter yet because I have not found my knight in shining armor yet. But so far, I have learned to fight my own evils.  Surprisingly, fighting my own evils has not been so hard. In fact, it is something that I have grown into and now it does not seem so daunting.

However, I still look back at the fairy tales that I knew as a child and wonder if perhaps a “Prince Charming” would be better suited for helping me fight evils that arise in my life. Life is as unpredictable as love itself. But if fairy tales do come true and a knight in shining armor does exist then, let the men of today know that true love is when you want to stand by the one you love always and forevermore. True love is not a fairy tale but the beginning has been inside a fairy tale. I do not know when I shall find my true love but I will keep fighting until he will stand by me to help me.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

My Vision of What True Love Is!!

My Dear Future Readers…

You have all read Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Sleeping Beauty. I recently watched a movie called Love by the Book and I started to think about all the fairy-tales I loved as a child. It fascinated me that every fairy-tale no matter what it was –always had a happily ever after no matter what was happening whether there was a magic spell or a wicked stepmother or a sea witch, the handsome, Prince Charming always saved the day.

Growing up on such happily ever after fairy-tales, made me believe that a “Prince Charming” was truly somewhere out there. Also, seeing the love that my grandparents shared, taught me that fairy-tales really did come true. Watching the Disney version of what true love is was inspiring to me. True Love became even more real to me as I watched Princes battle dragons, evil queens and many more evil doers. As a girl,. I imagined myself as the Cinderella who finds her prince and lives happily ever after.

But you know what, being Cinderella is not easy and finding a prince who will fight your dragons and evil sea witches and other such things is not easy. I had to learn how to fight my own dragons before I could ever ask anyone for help. Fairy-tales don’t teach that. And you know, I’m still waiting for my Prince Charming.

But in the meantime, I learned how to fight my own dragons and not eat fruit from strangers, not go into strange places where sea witches live. But I still have romantic dreams. That is why I write romance novels so that all my pent-up romantics inside me can get out. But also, because I still want to believe that those fairy tales do come true in real life and yes, I will keep looking for the man of my dreams. He does not have to Prince Charming but Charming for me. I still love roses, romantic dinners, walks on the beach, and everything else that I write about in my books.

My vision of romance is still the same. Roses, romantic dinners, poetry maybe, but mostly I just like to get to know the person. All those fairy tales talk about how the princess gets rescued and that true love’s kiss is the strongest power in the world. I mean, a kiss is a way of showing love and that makes it strong but only when it is with the right person. I mean, I don’t even know half the time who my right person is but I know that true love is real and that he is out there. How?

I know because the people who are there everyday helping you fight your dragons are the people who love you. If only I could find that kind of person who would help me battle my evil queens and sea witches, I would know that the person truly loves me no matter what is going on in my life. That is why I can always make the fairy tales relatable to my life. Because in every fairy tale there  is a piece of truth. Every sea witch, evil queen,  dragon, or sorcerer has been created to unveil a truth of a real person’s character. So, the next time you pick up a fairy tale think about why we relate to these Disney classics so much and why a romance novel pulls you in from the start. Because romance writers like myself, Jessica Lauryn, Danielle Steel, Nicholas Sparks are truly talented in unveiling reality from between the lines of their books. They reveal a part of their souls to the reader and I respect that.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all  for your infinite support.
