Thankfulness of an Author

My Dear Future Readers:

I want to wish every one of you a very Happy Thanksgivings Day.. It is the day that we give thanks for everything we have. But should we not be thankful for the people and things we have, every day of our life? I believe that Thanksgiving is not for one day of the year. It is a holiday that can be celebrated everyday.

Everyday, there is a reason to be thankful. Everyday, the sun shines in our windows and the birds chirp their beautiful songs. In life there are moments when we should look for ways to be thankful no matter how bad our day is going. But today, I want to say that there are things that we should all be thankful for and always remember.

The Everyday List of Thanks:

  • We must always be thankful for the sky that is blue and the air that we breathe.
  • We must be thankful for the plants and flowers and the nature all around us.
  • We have to be thankful for the families we have and the friendships we acquired.
  • We must be thankful for our parents and grandparents because they made us who we are today.
  • We have be thankful that we have places that we can come home to every night. That we have beds and things that we use everyday that we need.
  • We have to be thankful for the things that we can do like, reading and writing and having the ability to use technology and think.
  • We must be thankful for the different people we we meet because whether they are bad or good we all learn life lessons that we can’t live without./

There are many more things that we as people should be thankful for. But now, I want to talk about my own list of things that I am thankful for.

My List of Thanks

Every day, I am thankful. I know that today is the day for that and I want to express my thanks.

I want to thank YOU for being a faithful  future reader. After all, without all of you who are reading my blog and liking my Author Page (Diana Rose Author Page )  none of this could be possible. You make things happen.

I want to thank my mother who taught me most of the things I do today. But most of all how make decisions and stay by them. She taught me that I should always keep going no matter how hard life gets. “There’s always tomorrow.” It means that I can always try again and that I should never lose hope. There are so many other things that my mother taught me but it is going to take a long time to list them all. I just want to say that she always makes life seem brighter no matter and no matter what happens, I can always count on her to be there for me no matter what life throws at me. I am  extremely grateful to have a mother who can know even without words what I need and how I feel.

I am thankful for the friends that I have even there aren’t many that I see everyday, the ones who are in other states, I am grateful for the care and love I feel from you that helps me get through my day. I am grateful for the comments that I get from my friends on Facebook and that I don’t feel so alone when I have someone to talk to.

I am grateful for the opportunity and ability to be a full-time author and having a chance to make my writing better everyday. I’m grateful for the support I have.

I am thankful for all the things that were named in the above list. Also, I am grateful for the talent I have and the creativity I have to write my books.

I wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Yours Truly,

An Author’s Lesson # 7: GRADUATION in the Middle of Being a FUll-Time Author

My Dear Future Readers,

On  June 2nd, I graduated from Brooklyn College with my B.A. in Psychology.

Yes, I am a full-time author now. But before I became a full time author in January 2016, I was a simple college student like many of you who are reading this.

This post is for everyone who thinks that having a life outside of a writing career is hard. Yes, it is hard but we have to make time for our dreams to come true. That is why I was writing in between college course, exams, and due dates for papers and essays.

Now, I am done with college…FOR GOOD!

You would think that I stop learning. OH no, I am just learning  narrower as what pertains to my writing. I am doing more writing and much more about editing and how to improve my productiveness..

Things that interest me are more of a priority now because no one is putting me on a schedule, I have my own schedule of things that need to be done.  I am focused now on my dream.

I am focused on MY FUTURE READERS!

That is more important to me now than going to write papers on topics that don’t matter. My books and this blog and my editing are the things that matter.

Graduation for me just means that I have transitioned into a life where I decide. I have graduated into the freedom to live my dream.

I belong freely to my dream. My dream of writing and creating books for my future readers. No more dividing my attention. No more feeling guilty for not studying for a certain class.

It is wonderful to feel free to do what I want. To write the things that I want and nor to be structured to write in a certain style, APA or MLA. Who cares?   I write YA Fantasy Romance novels. No more essays. Grammar, sure. Grammar is needed everywhere but no more structure. I write infinitely more without structure than I could with it.

I am more creative now then I was before. In college, I was a mess. Finals, papers, deadlines. Today, I set my own deadlines, I create my life the way I want. Yes, I have nort gotten used to it yet but I will. I feel like it is a part of the process. Now, nothing is standing in my way of my own success. I have graduated into a life I can master. I read what I want, learn subjects that I find interesting to my personal growth as a full time author.

To tell you the truth, I always believed that school and college were holding me back from being as creative as I can be. I dreamed of the day when I could just finish school and become a creative person. A creative person who could focus solely on her writing and her books. That was my plan from Day 1.

I wanted to be able set my imagination free and create as much as I could. People say that if you follow your heart you become happy and you forget about your age. I wanted to be able to do that. For a reason that everyone around me is living a prerecorded life of a 9 to 5 schedule.

Are they happy? No. These people are complaining about their lives being monotonous and lacking something.

That is why I wanted to graduate college so I could graduate into a better future for myself. It takes time to adjust to my new life…..My dream life of writing and creating but it an adventure that I would never trade for anything in the world. It is possible that by graduating, I became free of the emotional stress of college and homework and exams. It is as if my dream has been opened to me at this moment and I am venturing into the big dreamland I could have ever had.

I am more focused and clear about what I want now and I am ready for anything that comes my way. I have a clear head. The ideas just keep flowing in my brain as though a river dam has been opened to let the new ideas in.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all fort your infinite support.

Yours Truly,

Valentines Day and Thoughts of Love

My Dear Future Readers,

Today is Valentines Day. On this day we think of those we love…. Our families and our significant others.

Truthfully, I used to not be so into Valentines Day for many years. I looked at everyone who had someone to celebrate with and I thought to myself…

Why don’t I have someone to celebrate with too? Everyone has a boyfriend or girlfriend except me.

But then, I just sort of gave up on the idea of Valentines Day.   And now, I think I was wrong. My reaction to this holiday was all wrong. Love is for everyone to share. It does not matter if you found your true love or you’re still looking like I was until now  when love has found it’s way to me finally, what is important is that you show the people in your life already that you love them.

Your significant other will come when you are ready and Valentines Day will be that much more special.

On Valentines Day , we think and talk about love. After all, love is the most important thing in our lives. It keeps us safe when we are in danger, it makes us strong when we are weak, it gives us hope and support when we have none.

What I have learned about love recently?

I have learned a lot of things about love as 2015 ended and 2016 began and I am still learning these things.

The First thing that I have learned about love has to do with what I call Beauty-Handsome Factor. They say that beauty is what matters most when two people meet. But I havwe found that to be a bit altered in reality. If you were ever like me, insecure about your beauty then the right man will make you feel beautiful. No matter what you are wearing or if you put make up on today or not, he love the way you look regardless of appearance and that will make you feel beautiful and confident.

It doesn’t matter what you look like as long as the man you are with makes you feel like a Princess.

The Second thing I learned about love   is what I like to call The Brain and Goals Factor. I realized now that a woman with big dreams and goals for her life is a very attractive point in a woman. If a woman is goal oriented and has big dreams it doesn’t normally scare men off as long as the woman they are with supports their dreams as well. The dream-train goes both ways, make no mistake on that.

The man you choose for a significant other will respect your dreams if you respect and support his own dreams. Be smart on this one. Being a woman with big dreams can only understand a man with big dreams.

The Third thing I learned is called Family Relations. This is important because when Mr. Right decides you are Mrs. Right, you will want to maintain good relations with his family. Just like he will want to maintain good relations with your family. It is best to always be the best you can be. Yes, I do not say this without knowing. I know what it means to be an accepted member of a family. That has to come even before you say “I do.” Your Mr. Right will love you more as will his family.

Honesty is always good!  Be yourself and be honest with him and everyone else. Be respectful. Love takes work and if you work at it you will be happy.

After all, love was what created the world we live in. Be kind and happy and MR. Right will come along.

Let your love be happy and your day a bright sunshine.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL!! I thank you all for your infinite support.

Yours Truly,

My Dear Future Readers:

I have BIG NEWS for you:

I am going to be a FULL TIME AUTHOR starting this month.

I am going to writing full time from now on. Since I am finished with my college, I will have more time to write.

That means that in 2016 there will be more blog posts.

I have always wanted to write full time because I love writing. For a long time, I could not wait to finish college so that I would have more time to write my books. I am happy that I can do that now. But to be honest, I have no idea how to do it.

Because I have so many thoughts and organizing them has become increasingly hard since I have so much time now. I want to use my time wisely and yes, reopening this blog again is one of the things that I want to do as a full time author. This blog will not only be about my book now, but also about the progress I make as I take on this beautiful challenge of becoming a full time author in 2016.

The first thing I want to tell you about as I begin my journey as a full time author is that I will be writing everyday. I have accepted the My 500 Words challenge this month. Now, I will be writing everyday at least 500 words per day. Yes, that 500 words includes this blog. I am extremely excited that I accepted this challenge because I used to not be able or wanted to write everyday. Now, all that is about to change.

Also, this month, I have decided to write this blog once a week, for now and see how that goes. I will be restarting my The Royal Court Series shortly. Also, there will be new series’ coming later.

So far, in relation to the My 500 Words Challenge, I have been writing everyday. I am proud to say that I have been writing everyday for the past three days because I have not been so consistent with my writing in a long time. It used to take me days to write anything. Now, my ideas are flowing faster and better.

Also, in 2016, I am beginning to learn the importance of discipline in relation to writing.

What is discipline in writing?

Discipline in writing means that an author writes everyday. It doesn’t matter if the words are good or bad. It is important to develop an everyday writing habit.

Things used to get in the way of my daily writing but now, I made a promise to myself to start the new year off with developing a writing habit. I’m sure this will soon make me a better writer and I hope that going full time as an author will not seem so overwhelmingly hard once I am writing everyday.

In fact, writing everyday has contributed to making me happier. I feel like I am finally doing something productive with my time. It is importance to me that I will not be as silent about what I am doing as I have been the past year.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.

Separated and In Love

My Dear Future Readers:

“Whenever we are apart it feels like part of me is missing……..and then I remember that you have my heart.”

Today I want want to talk to you about separated love.

Yes, love can be different. Love is beautiful in it’s own way. Love is a kind and gentle feeling. And when someone loves a person, they are willing to do anything for that person. Whatever it takes to make the other person happy.

However today, I want to explore the idea of separated love. Separated love occurs when to people who are meant to be together are not able to be together due to obstacles or other people. If that person really loves the other he will always find a way to reunite. After all if two people are meant to be together, they will be together in the end.

Of course, separation is not easy to overcome. Both people feel a pull to be together and yet they have to let time pass before they find each other again. During that time of separation, it is a test of their love to see how strongly they will fight to stay together. Like in my first novel, Book 1: Forbidden Love, love proves to be stronger than the obstacle of separation.

Separated love happens in life and in books. But love always comes out on top.

I look forward too hearing from you soon. Please leave comments. I thank you all for you infinite support.

My First Awesome Chat Live Interview

My Dear Future Readers:

On  June 23rd, I had my first ever interview for my book. To say that I was excited would mean I was not saying anything at all. I don’t know how to describe my feelings as the time of my interview approached. I felt like Cinderella at the Ball.

It felt like my entire world would change from the moment that I started this interview. I knew that people would finally get to see who I am. I will no longer be someone who was just sitting behind a computer screen. I will be visible to the public. To say that it scared me would be saying nothing at all.

But I was an Author and I knew that I wanted people to see me for who I am. This video interview would change my life for the better.

People would see not only me as an Author but me as a person.

In this video interview, I talk about my book, Book 1: forbidden Love and how I got inspired to write it. I also touch on how it turned into the Power of Love Series which I am continuing to write as I edit Book 1: Forbidden Love.

You will also get to see my thoughts on the subjects of true love, my personal favorite things about where I live and many more subjects.

I hope you will enjoy watching my Awesome Chat Live Interview and I hope to hear good things from you.

I look forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all for your infinite support.
